Inside the Galleria

EV Bullen were the principal and main contractor for the complete site wide replacement of the fire detection system, to LPS 1014 third party certification; this new system consisted of a 9 panel network with approximately 2,000 points over 30 loops. The ID3000 system also monitors and controls the complex retail unit alarm, smoke control and sprinkler system, via loop mounted I/O modules.

A total of 5 main and 4 full function repeater panels make up the principal devices on the fault tolerant ID2 network. Each repeater panel is equipped with a full function display and printer unit. Full Fireman's control functions are provided at each repeater location to aid in the control and clearance of smoke during an incident.

New MCC backplate assemblies were manufactured to interface with the building smoke damper control panels and electrical/mechanical systems. Complex cause and effect software ensures that for any given fire situation the building smoke control systems configure themselves to remove smoke from the area and discharge it safely to the outside of the building.

In the security control room, a fully functional graphical touch screen display has been provided - in addition to the 250 LED zone mimic panel - and this allows all alarms and system faults to be displayed in a simple and easy to understand format, which in turn provides an exact location map for the device in question.
